I had a leaking tap in the kitchen. I needed to replace the quarter turn ceramic cartridge. Now there are hundreds of differsnt sizes of these things. I didn't want to get the wrong one and so decided that I needed something that would give me exact measurements as we are talking about differences of a few millimeteres in some instances. This is when I invested in these calipers.
Safe to say I was very pleased when they turned up. They were well boxed and even had two spare batteries included along with a small screwdriver to remove the retaining battery cover. They seem to be well constructed and have a good solid feel. They are smooth and easy to operate and gave me the exact measurements I was looking for when measruring the tap cartridge. Overall well pleased with my purchase

This is a digital vernier measurer, that can take external and internal measurements. You can read on the stainless steel ruler, or, more accurately on the digital read out. This has metric and inch readings, if you like imperial you'll love this as you can also see inches in fractions as well as decimal. It's very accurate, measures up to 1/100th of a millimetre.
Great price for an excellent quality product, I used it a dozen times the first day, the instructions included explaining how you can use it, it's pretty straightforward.

This caliper is a fully steel body design, as opposed to every type I've had before where the bit with the LCD being plastic.
Otherwise it seems to be the same as every other calipers I've used before.
The wheel is very free moving - the one you put your thumb on, it's probably called a thumb wheel or something. I found I have to push it firmly against the rail bit otherwise it slips - this is not unusual. I know I will use it for tolerances with 3d printer heads when changing nozzles, that's about it. So overall it's a good solid metal body caliper for every day use with decent accuracy down to at least 0.1mm
